I have noticed the same; no more Geocities redirects for quite a while. 
Perhaps they have found a way to prevent redirects?

Most Googlepages redirects are already 404 when I try them; those that 
are not can be reported via 
http://www.google.com/support/pages/bin/request.py?contact_type=abuse_spam&extra.IssueType=abuse_spam
