Except that we don't actually have an accurate diagnosis of this
person -- maybe he 'simply' has a severe personality disorder, such as
Paranoid Personality Disorder which has a diagnostic code and criteria
distinct from the schizophrenia family and he isn't 'truly' psychotic.

We also don't have an accurate or adequate evaluation of the Time
Traveler, which is a persona more in keeping with our email related
unsolicited mail than unwanted usenet posts.  The problem with calling
something usenet 'spam' is that usenet is a very 'loose' place in terms
of what can be deposited in various newsgroups, whereas your mailbox is
more nearly 'your own' where you have the power to call something
unsolicted and spam.  It isn't crystal clear to me that the MI5 poster
doesn't have the right to demonstrate poor netiquette on usenet.
