You're using logic that probably doesn't apply when he's not lucid. That 
"intro" page I cited seems to imply that he doesn't always think he's 
sick; the "initiators" have planned his symptoms, so he'll appear that way.

What's more amazing to me is that the individual still is allowed net 
access, despite his history of egregious abuse.
