That's our good old "Empire Building" days again...
I reckon we should just all give in now and learn Chinese...
It's one thing I hate about England... We always expect other
countries to learn 'our' language and can never be bothered to learn
anyone else's. (Obviously there are quite a few multi-lingual people
in this country but the 'norm' is to "speaka da anglaise, and speak it
badly at that"
Not that I'm un-patriotic or anything...
Forget about the old phrase "England Expects...", these days it's more
like "England Assumes", and we all know what "Assume" means..
Now if only my mail client would detect the set language in the rx'ed
mail and then pop off to some babelfish type site and auto-translate
for me, there wouldn't be a problem.
