There are ways and there are ways of 'unsubscribing' - I won't use the 
'unsubscribe' in the email or on the website if I really believe that I 
didn't subscribe.  Like you, I haven't seen a 'legitimate' unsolicited emal 
in a long time in my personal email.  However, I agree with Tim that it is 
better to 'educate' if you do receive one than to simply report.  For one 
thing, if they are legitimate, they are not likely to get listed.  If they 
didn't seem to listen, I would cc their ISP.  For another thing, if they are 
legitimate, many of the people receiving their newsletter or whatever do 
want it and are not complaining so reports rarely do any good.
