Hi David
I have, since reading the responses, looked at this Bcc/To business and at
last I can say I have some better understanding - something which I had
never thought of - and I thank those here who have brought it to my
attention.
I have also noticed after looking at some of this spam(in a safe
environment)that some are packed with To addresses, with and without mine.
Shortly after virgin took over ntl, the antivirus/spyware/spam filter prog
changed and one was asked to 'upgrade/update'.
I cannot remember what the ntl antispam prog was(could have been Brightmail)
but it was great. I perhaps got 1 or 2 a day.
It was one of, if not the first, to deal effectively with the .gif spam.
This one is, for the moment, crap and since having it, as I have said,
anything between 40-50 turn up in my 'honeypot' email.
However, I have been promised a telephone call later today, from a 'senior
member' of tech help.
That email to HQ might have worked.
So, I may have a solution before Xmas :-)
Rgds
Antioch
