That is a sign that you picked a username which was already on a
spamlist. Spammers like to take usernames they've harvested and attach
them to popular domainnames. That's how new accounts get instant spam.

An address which is on millions CDs is going to propagate and get to be
on more millions CDs.

I think there is a big big problem with any general provider's spam
fighting tools which provider tools are likely to -1- reject mail you
wouldnn't have wanted rejected -2- drop goodmail on the floor, lost,
worse worse worse than any goodmail rejection -3- leak spam.

IMO, the best thing you can do with any spamfilters at the
provider/server level is to turn them off. Some providers don't give
you the option to turn off all of its spamfiltering - which inability to
disable is the absolute worst kind of spamfilter. SpamPal is an
excellent client side filter. That's the way I handle my spam, turn off
the provider's filter and use spampal. Very very little spam leaks by
SP untagged, and 0.000% of goodmail is tagged as spam.

What's the problem with turning off the provider filter and using
SpamPal and feeding your Junk folder to SpamCop?
