You can tell if it worked by sending an email to that address. I have never
bothered (if it does work, I want my email to come from an email address I
don't use and I don't want to bother setting one up) though I get auto
responses that seem to indicate that they will deactivate the email address.
The problem is that it is so easy to create a new one - if you are doing it
for money, not confirmation.
