Perhaps conficker or other bot network related? For example, this morning, after about 10 hours of being offline: 38 messages in Inbox 34 should have been marked and held (only 4 real, non-spam messages) 65 messages in held mail 99 messages were reported as spam by me That's almost a 66% detection rate, which to me, is quite low. Are deputies and filter experts going to tweak filters in the near future? I don't mind a few messages getting through, but this is getting to be a hassle. Admittedly, they are getting past SpamAssassin - which is probably a larger issue for the anti-spam fighters globally. These short messages appear to be the trend in my mailbox. And I'm not seeing an instant surge (spike/fall), but a constant surge that continues to grow. Also, my email client was unable to connect. I do not believe it to be a general connectivity problem on my side, as I am able to get to the news server and to other websites, including the forum, and indeed am able to get to the mailsc.spamcop.net website. I thought I'd drop a note in here hoping someone has Jeff T's home phone and could let him know.
