There is a "sent" folder in the Webmail interface for paid accounts but 
it's always empty.

Check the folder called "sent-mail" unless you are looking for July mail 
after you've clicked to perform the monthly maintenance tasks. Then you 
would look in the folder named sent-mail-Jul-2007.
