All connectivity to the various SpamCop-related services hosted there has been dead for hours. This includes the POP, IMAP, and SMTP services associated with "spamcop.net" (and cesmail.net) email accounts, as well as the SpamCop Forums and the SpamCop Newsgroups. Can you say, "too may eggs in one basket"? If the Newsgroups were moved here to GoogleGroups, at least we'd be able to do user-to-user communications, updates, etc. I'm not sure if the venerable Wazoo checks here or not, because he's probably the only person in the world with any non-Internet contact info on J.T., the owner/operator of those services. SC NG seems to have been working for me also. I do see on the forum that the SC email was down for a while - don't use it so don't know first hand. I would suggest other connectivity issues. Considering the adds and spamming I see on the GoogleGroups I am members of not sure that would work well/better. Lets be real, can you see Wazoo dealing with GoogleGRoups? Many of these are NOTHING to do with Cambridge University, and I think they are in the list by error. Perhaps they appeared because some users who were forwarding between different mailhosts configured their mailhosts in the wrong order. To be specific, the list of hosts/domains include the following: *.bham.ac.uk (Birmingham University) *.imperial.ac.uk (Imperial College, University of London) *.dur.ac.uk (Durham University) *.ic.ac.uk (Imperial College, University of London) *.york.ac.uk (University of York) *.community.net.uk ocms.ac.uk (Oxford Centre for Mission Studies) *.brad.ac.uk (Bradford University) ac.uk I believe that all of these should be removed. Also, I the Mailhost is given the name by the system of "OCMS", which matches a domain in the above list, and perhaps indicates that someone at the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies was the first to add the cam.ac.uk domain but registered his mailhosts in the wrong order. Cheers.
