[Scgeeks] Imput of laptop to purchase

My kids finally have had enough of my old desk tops and the assorted wire 
kluge so they have decided they WILL BE buying me a new lap top for 
Christmas.  (anyone having a need for old boxes get back to me via 
brother_rabbit @ hotmail.com -- they are available for the cost of 
shipping.)

Right now the options are a new Mac BookPro or a PC based machine.

My wife uses Mac almost exclusively. For my part I've used PC (one still in 
use has a BIOS copyright date of '89) with occasional trips to the Mac.

I've been encourage to go to the Intel Mac with provision to run both Apple 
and PC application.

Since I'm likely to use this for a long time I'd appreciate input on what I 
should ask for.
