No option, I'm afraid.

Give it a few months to settle down.

There's nothing to stop you searching for the Vista drivers now. A 
quick search on the HP site for my scanjet drivers revealed 
something like this "Drivers: There will be no Vista drivers for 
this part. Reason: Your device is too old. Solution: Buy a new one"
