Hi Jim,

I've moved away from this philosophy - I run my PC 24 hours a day 
and I've found that the last 3 machines I've bought this way are 
built from cheap components and generally fail with noisy fans 
between 1 and 2 years old. Almost none of the machines we run at the 
office (HP in the main) fail within this timespan. I've also found 
the machines to be problematic with Linux, whereas you can almost 
guarantee that an HP or Dell will be compatible.
