I don't know what their service & support system is like
any longer, but my experience with them around eight
years ago was quite good. I worked for a VAR that liked
to use HP almost exclusively, and HP was always quick
and responsive to issues.
Their hardware seemed to be of high quality; we never
had any ongoing or consistent issues on that end.

My only gripe was the undue amount of bloatware
and unnecessary fluff preloaded onto the systems,
though this certainly holds true with most big-box
OEMs nowadays. Not an issue, if you intend to wipe
the HDD to start from scratch with your OS and
additional software.
