[SC-Help] My address in spam From: line

I know this topic has come up from time to time on this newsgroup, but
I'm hoping there might be a way of dealing with it that I've overlooked.

Several times in the past, a spammer or worm has forged my email address
in the From line of the spam or worm message. I'd get bounced messages
for a while, then it fades out.

But this time it's happening in big volume and for a protracted period.
I've been getting bounce messages for over 2 weeks now, and the volume
is currently at 100 - 150 per day (on top of my normal background of 200
or so spams a day), increasing with time if anything. It seems to be one
spammer, hawking on-line medicine. Sucker is really hanging in there,
and must be sending out huge gobs of mail -- I assume I'm not the only
one getting nailed, and I'm only seeing the ones that bounce.

My email address is necessarily public because I sell my products
(software) on the web. Even if there were any effective way to conceal
it from the spammers but make it visible to potential customers, it
would take a long, long time before all web references faded out and I
got dropped from the spam lists.

Does anybody have any creative ideas about how to deal with this?

Thanks,
Roy Lewallen
